CHANGAN NEVO Officially Launch in 2023
CHANGAN Automobile has 164 years history and 45 years of vehicle manufacturing experience. In the process of CHANGAN Automobile transformation into an intelligent low-carbon mobility technology company, the NEV brand—CHANGAN NEVO—was launched in 2023 as a stable strategic cornerstone of CHANGAN Automobile.
CHANGAN originated from the Shanghai Arsenal, which was a pioneer of China's modern industry.
It was renamed The 21st Arsenal in Chongqing, which was the largest military-industrial enterprise in China at the time and supplying 50% of the weapons and ammunition for the War of Resistance.
The First Strategic Plan: transformation from military to civilian industries. Entered the automobile industry through technical and trade cooperation and began to produce compact vehicles.
The Second Strategic Plan: transform into the production of passenger vehicles. It established a global R&D presence at ten locations in six countries.
